| Samuel Johnson said, "When a
man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can
afford." And that was over two centuries ago!

Look up "Coolest City on the Planet," and you'll find London. It's the center of British everything - culture, politics, finance, history, royalty, and whatnot. But it's also a world capital with a huge multinational population, where life's been "cosmopolitan" since before the word existed. Home to a multitude of students, London is the ultimate college town, with a cutting-edge music scene and nightlife to prove it! If urban living at its best and biggest appeals to you, it's London, baby, yeah!
University College London is the place for a traditional British education in the middle of an area that's anything but. The UCL campus is in the Bloomsbury neighborhood, home of the stately British Museum, yet near the famous nightlife of Soho and Piccadilly and the theater district in the West End. With more than 17,000 students to educate, inform, and entertain, UCL boasts almost 200 student organizations and sports teams. In class, be prepared for intense and focused study. UCL has top-tier academics all the way, with outstanding programs in art and design, English literature, prelaw, and electrical engineering. It's also considered one of the top schools in the nation for overall quality of teaching, so your courses will be awesome no matter what you study!
City University is located in "The City" of London, the central neighborhood on the site of the original walled settlement - home to the Bank of London and the London Stock Exchange. Fittingly, City University excels in professional subjects, from journalism and engineering to finance and management, and has one of the best undergraduate business departments in the U.K. City has a high proportion of international students too, so you'll get perspectives from around the world in your classes, while you take advantage of a program designed to help you make connections and find internships.
London is also a hub of worldwide travel, and you might want to take advantage while you're there. Trains to the rest of Great Britain, the Chunnel to France, or easy flights to Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East put the world at your feet.
