| At the Globe, a modern replica of Shakespeare’s original theater, performances are staged as in Elizabethan times—without lighting, elaborate scenery, or cushy seats for the audience, so the actors must be good!

will apprentice with the pros for a semester in London. In private studios
backstage, you’ll complete and present project designs for
costumes and sets, based on the Globe stage. London theater professionals act as directors for each project,
meeting regularly with you. In addition, experts in model making and costume construction conduct
special training classes. You will need to submit a portfolio as part of your application.
