The last emperor of the Qing Dynasty chose Changchun to build his palace -- only one of three imperial palaces remaining in China today!


    
You’ll be studying Chinese language at Jilin University, home to over 60,000 students including 1,400 international students. But don’t be too overwhelmed! You will have many opportunities to get involved on campus.

Here, you will discover everything that China has to offer – from ancient Chinese architecture to traditional Chinese art to delicious Chinese cuisine. China is a large and diverse country, with a lot to explore!



    Changchun, the capital city of the Jilin province, is a relatively young city. But with an urban population of 3 million people, you will have no problem practicing your Chinese language skills with the locals. Changchun is known as the “city of movies” -- it is the center of Chinese film production and is the home of the Changchun Film Festival. Its ideal winter climate makes it a mecca for winter sports. It’s the perfect location to suit all of your interests!
