Course Highlights:
If you’re new to Hebrew, the universities offer Ulpan, an intensive language class before the semester begins.
Both universities offer exciting special opportunities, like kibbutz experiences, internships, and independent research gigs.

    Ben-Gurion University in Beer Sheva is in one of Israel’s biggest cities too, but it’s also in the middle of an amazing, dunes-and-cacti-style desert. Boasting the best falafel in the country, Beer Sheva also hosts Israel’s largest Bedouin market and plenty of shopping malls, theaters, and dance clubs. Exceptional programs in peace studies, desert studies, premed, and anthropology-along with a full roster of regular classes and campus activities- -make Ben-Gurion popular with students from all over the world.

    The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is the highest-ranking university of Israel. Founded by twentieth-century erudites such as Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud, and Martin Buber. Today this multidisciplinary institution is filled with a diverse student body, including 1,200 international students. The university has excellent programs in Jewish studies, international relations, religion, and, of course, Ancient and Modern Hebrew language. It has the largest and most prestigious Hebrew language program in the country. Moreover, the campus buildings and housing facilities are state-of-the-art.
