  • Live in the land of wunderkinds like Hofmann, Hegel, Fontane, and Brecht. Berlin, Germany's largset city and its capital, is the most rapidly changing major urban center in Europe. Once divided by the Berlin Wall, the city in Germany now unites rich, tumultuous histories and cultural traditions from both East and West. You'll earn 6 credits for six week's work in German studies.

By foot, bike, subway or bus, discover cultural riches such as Norman Foster's soaring glass dome above the Reichstag, the fabled ancient bust of Queen Nofretete, paintings from Giotto and Breughel to Caspar David Friedrich and Picasso. See Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's Neue Nationalgalerie, or the new Jewish Museum designed by Daniel Libeskind. Berlin is the inspiration for such portrayals of modern urban life as Fritz Lang's Metropolis or Walter Ruttmann's Berlin: die Symphonie einer Grossstadt. With all this, you'll wunder how you waited this long.
