Most people know Paris’ “City of Lights” nickname, but do you know where it comes from? In the latter half of the 19th century, Paris installed 15,000 gas-lit streetlamps, allowing shops to stay open late and citizens to stroll the boulevards in greater safety.

Based on your level of French proficiency, your academic interests and your personal goals you will have the chance to customize your study plan in Paris by selecting a program from over fifteen French Universities. The flexibility to be able to choose from such a diverse range of options gives you the power to design your own study experience in Paris that will meet your individual needs.

Course Highlights:
Before enrolling in classes, you’ll participate in a 3 week orientation where you will learn how to navigate the city of Paris, you’ll arrange your housing and you’ll take part in intensive language training classes to prepare you for your classes at the French universities.
Visits to the Opera and other famous cultural establishments throughout Paris are arranged each semester as well short excursions to famous places like Chartres, Mont St. Michel, Chateaux de la Loire, Champagne, Giverny and Versailles. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to explore on your own as well.
You will have the chance to meet and interact with Parisian university students and townspeople not only in your classes and accomodations but also through social gatherings or networking events arranged by MICEFA.
If you worried about being able to support yourself while in France, students with a “visa de long sejour” have the right to work part time while studying.
