About GREGORY W SPEAR:
Greg advises on Rutgers service-learning programs abroad. He also works closely with faculty members to develop new programs, while promoting service-learning and study abroad opportunities to the Rutgers community. Greg's first international experience was in 2008 when he participated in the Rutgers Study Abroad program in Florence, Italy. He returned to Italy in 2009, traveling to Rome and Trieste to conduct research for his senior honors thesis. After graduating from Rutgers with a degree in History, Greg spent several months in southern Italy teaching English to Italian children. During that time he stayed with an Italian family, who taught him the art of the evening passaggiata along with a slew of Sicilian card games. Aside from his interests in travel, Greg is also an avid basketball fan. As an undergraduate, he spent three years as a student manager with the Rutgers men's basketball team. Greg obtained his B.A. from Rutgers University in 2010.  He is currently pursuing a M.A. in Global & Comparative History at Rutgers University.
