Your Program Cost will be paid directly to Rutgers University. Please bear in mind that the billing and refund cycles are based on the semester dates set forth by Rutgers University. In certain instances, you will have already departed for your program prior to the issuance of the billing for your semester abroad. You are responsible for ensuring that your billing is accurate and is paid on time. This also means that your refund will not be made available until the start of the semester at Rutgers. Please plan accordingly to ensure that you will have adequate funding.
You will find the Program Costs on the individual program pages on this site as soon as they are available. If you are not certain of your Program Cost, please contact our office. It is important for you to know what is included in your Program Cost. When you receive your bill for your semester abroad, it will state your Program Cost and any additional fees not included in your Program Cost. Additional fees may include special programs offered at the host school, extra fees for science/fine arts courses at certain host institutions, or housing fees if your Program Cost does not include room and board. In some cases, students may be responsible for paying these fees directly to their Host University before or at the end of the program.
